Make Ahead Meal Plan Challenge (and Giveaway!)

The beginning of each year brings a flurry of excitement as we commit to making healthy changes. We all know that meal planning saves us money, time, and stress, but for a variety of reasons, meal planning remains a struggle for many of us.

If creating and following a meal plan feels impossible to you, we have the perfect opportunity to make 2017 the year that meal planning becomes a part of your life! Join us for Plan to Eat’s Make Ahead Meal Plan Challenge.

mealplan-challenge-header

The Make Ahead Meal Plan Challenge is Plan to Eat’s 30-day challenge to help you start your own meal planning routine, and it’s completely free.

Throughout January you will see how to make freeze-ahead meals for one (or more!) weeks of dinners and have extras in the freezer. Imagine not having the stress of dinner for the entire week, but still get home-cooked meals on the table! On top of that, you’ll have backup meals in your freezer that you can pull out whenever you’re too busy to cook

We have provided recipes for the first two weeks from the book Fix, Freeze, Feast, and the second two weeks from 100 Days of Real Food. All of these tried and true recipes are perfect for preparing ahead of time so that you can avoid mealtime stress during the week.

You can also join the Make Ahead Meal Plan Challenge Facebook group to discuss tips and tricks to make your kitchen super-efficient and get everyone fed.

This video will show you how the challenge works:

  • Hi! I have added Make Ahead Meal Plan Challenge (22) as a friend, see Make Ahead Meal Plan Challenge (22) when I view all friends and can see the recipes, but can’t see the menus. What I see are my own menus. What am I doing wrong?

    • Hi there. After you have added Make Ahead Meal Plan Challenge as a friend, you will click on the “Plan” link at the top. Next you will click on “Menus” on the left. Next you will pull the “Select a Friend” pulldown menu to “Make Ahead Meal Plan Challenge” to see the 4 menus that we have put together for this challenge. From there you can drag and drop them onto the planner. If you still have trouble please send us an email (support@plantoeat.com) with your username and we’ll walk you through it in more detail. We’re happy to help!

  • I just entered the Challenge and requested to be added to the FB group. I am *so* glad that PTE has organized this. I have been a member for 2 (maybe 3) years, but have utterly failed at using PTE effectively. I am an aspiring meal planner, and I believe that being in a community with seasoned and novice planners who are willing to help each other learn is just what I need to move in the right direction!

  • Your mobile version seems to be without some key functionality, i.e. Can I pull from ‘friends’ recipes on the mobile version?

    • I just figured it out by CLOSELY watching the video on the Make Ahead Meal Plan Challenge page. The process for members “happens” on the screen. I followed that process and was successful! Thanks!

then in the top box (where you add email addresses)
type Make Ahead Meal Plan Challenge

    • I’m also having trouble adding a friend without an email address. How do we add “Make Ahead….” without an email? OH… I figured it out… you add: Make Ahead Meal Plan Challenge (spelled out just like that) in the spot where you’d put the email. Worked for me….

  • I am in Canada, and I realize I am not eligible to join the challenge, but I was wondering if we (foreign folk :)) could have access to the menu plans and recipes? It looks like a great way to try some freezer menus.

    Thanks,
    K Gebbie
