Easy Meals for the New Year – Orange Chicken Freezer Meal


It’s day two of our Easy Meals for the New Year challenge. This challenge is a little different than our previous challenges because it brings together different cooking methods, cuisines, courses, and eating preferences for one really great round-up of recipes. We want to help you make delicious and easy meals for your family and become a proficient meal planning pro this new year.

Easy Make Ahead Orange Chicken Freezer Meal


Day two of our challenge features a very tasty freezer recipe for Orange Chicken from Happy Money Saver. If I had known that orange chicken was this easy to make at home, I would have added it to our “favorites” list a long time ago. No need for take-out with this delicious recipe!

Once prepped, you can easily add the sauce and chicken into a freezer ziplock for delicious and quick meals during the week. I went ahead and prepared one batch for dinner and froze another batch for later this month. We served it with rice and an easy Asian salad (cabbage, carrots, cashews, cucumbers, and ginger dressing), but it could also be served over  rice noodles and sautéed veggies!  YUM!
