New Feature: Metric Conversions

We are really excited about a new feature that allows you to convert any recipe in your Plan to Eat account into Metric, regardless of where you imported it from. This is done simply by checking a box in Plan to Eat in one of two places:

1. When viewing a recipe you will see a checkbox that reads “Display units in metric.” If the recipe is not already in metric, by checking this box the units of the recipe will be converted into metric.

2. When on the shopping list you will see a checkbox at the bottom that reads “Display units in metric.” By checking this box all items on the shopping list will be converted into metric.

This feature is site-wide, which means that if you change one recipe to Metric, all recipes and the shopping list will be set to Metric as well. If you turn the Metric conversion off for one recipe, it will be turned off for all recipes and the shopping list. You can always toggle between the two by changing the checkbox.

To those of you outside the US who have been schlogging away with our crazy Imperial measurements, you are now going to miss out on all the fun of converting your recipes. Don’t let your math skills get soft even though you no longer need them at Plan to Eat.
