I've tried meal planning a number of times over my 25 years of marriage. Nothing stuck. I couldn't handle the weekly grocery store trips and the shopping lists were cumbersome. I'd get so frustrated, I'd stop. I wasted so much money on food I'd end up not using. This was my yo-yo of meal planning. We started eating out, spending $1000 a month on food. Then I found Plan to Eat. Remembering my history with meal planning I approached with caution. I tested it out and added a few recipes and tried out planning for a month. Plan to Eat has blessed us in ways that I wouldn't have imagined. I have found that when I use the plan and the associated shopping list I am so much better able to stick within our budget and not waste food. As an added bonus I know when I prepared what, so we make better use of leftovers.
