I've tried meal planning a number of times over my 25 years of marriage. Nothing stuck. I couldn't handle the weekly grocery store trips and the shopping lists were cumbersome. I'd get so frustrated, I'd stop. I wasted so much money on food I'd end up not using. This was my yo-yo of meal planning. We started eating out, spending $1000 a month on food. Then I found Plan to Eat. Remembering my history with meal planning I approached with caution. I tested it out and added a few recipes and tried out planning for a month. I successfully planned, cooked and SAVED nearly $600.

It took some work getting started it was well worth the effort. I'm saving time, money, and realized now I'm saving food. Every week there is less and less waste as I use everything I'm buying and nothing is going bad before it gets used! I'm on a small budget so this is important to me. Now, instead of shopping week to week, I'm starting to be able to stock up as well as plan & purchase past the week I'm buying for!!! This is by far the best thing I've ever done for my family.
