Wow, that sounds like a great gift!

There are many recipe organization sites available these days, but Plan to Eat is the only one that has nailed the tricky balance between features and complexity. The site packs enormous punch (Import recipes from anywhere, shopping lists that auto-sort into supermarket categories, "cooking view," etc.), but it presents all that power through a carefully orchestrated user interface that never overwhelms. The site gets out of the way so you can shop and cook with grace. After experimenting with all of the well known competing options, I simply cannot recommend it enough. A big thank you to the husband and wife team of Plan to Eat for literally changing the way my family eats!

Oh, Plan To Eat, where have you been my whole life? I have dreamed of you lo these many years but for naught! Thank you, thank you, thank you for this service (labor of love). I imported my favorite recipe, verified accuracy, scheduled it and put it on the shopping list in less than 5 minutes. And then, through teary eyes, I set to writing this thank you note (love letter). I've spent 20+ years trying to streamline this process - never finding the meal planning holy grail. While working 40-50 hours and commuting another 10, my "free" time has been for maintaining my family and home. You've given me back a good 2-3 hours a week.

I recently started eating a more plant-based diet, and so I'm accumulating lots of new recipes. I love that I have access to my recipes when I visit my family members in other states and I want to make dinner there or give them some good recipes. I also often plan some meals while I'm at work and then I have my shopping list ready when I leave. I love having my shopping list on my phone. I'm just having a great time with it.
