Wow, that sounds like a great gift!
Most of the meal planning/recipe organizing options I had looked at either didn't have the ability to automatically create a shopping list, or didn't have an easy way to add other items to the generated list, or wanted me to follow their meal plans (we are ridiculously picky eaters). Plan To Eat has been amazing and we will definitely be subscribing when our free trial ends! Adding recipes was easy, the drag-and-drop meal planner is very similar to what I've been doing with planning our meals on Google Calendar, and the automatic shopping list saves me so much time! We put it to the test in the grocery store this week \xE2\x80\x94 my husband & I usually split up and each do 1/2 the store so we can get out quickly \xE2\x80\x94 Plan To Eat worked perfectly on both our phones! It's exactly the solution I've been searching for!

I am a busy single mom and it helps so much with planning our dinners and quicker grocery shopping with my impatient 8 year old - I no longer have to think about what I need or why I needed that odd-ball item. Its all on my phone and tells me which recipe that ingredient goes to if I forgot.
