6 tablespoons tamari sauce or coconut nectar
2 cloves garlic minced
2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
2 tablespoons water
1 tablespoon finely chopped ginger
1 tablespoon rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar
1 tablespoon Frank's Chili & Lime hot sauce
For the chicken:
1 tablespoon olive oil or sesame oil or coconut oil
450 grams (1 lb) ground lean chicken
40 grams ( 1/4 cup) lightly salted cashews coarsely chopped
3 green onions thinly sliced
16 lettuce leaves for wrapping (Bibb, Romaine or Butter Lettuce)
pinch of salt and pepper
Toppings optional :
1 carrot shredded or finely sliced(I used a spiralizer)
cilantro finely chopped
avocado
tomato
Quark cheese
Red Pepper
