1 pound black beans, dried
1 12 quarts gluten-free chicken or vegetable broth
1 carrot, chopped
1 stalk organic celery, chopped
1 large organic onion, chopped
1 large organic bell pepper, chopped
6 cloves garlic, minced
14 cup lentils
1 14.5 oz can diced tomatoes
2 Tbs chili powder
1 Tbs cumin
12 tsp oregano
3 Tbs balsamic vinegar
salt and pepper to taste

Meh. The beans needed closer to 7 hours to cook in my crock. It wasn't *great.*

Really enjoyed this soup. I added some chipotle peppers in adobo sauce for some smokiness and spice I omitted the chill powder. I just plain forgot to use the balsamic but enjoyed it none the less!
