Friends, we have come to that all-too-familiar time when we bid farewell to our current cookbook, and begin our exploration of a new one. I don’t know about you, but I have a freezer chock-full of delicious dinners, thanks to my time spent with Fix, Freeze, Feast. It’s almost too full. I’ll have to cook […] . . .

Well, folks. This is our last recipe from our Fix, Freeze, Feast cookbook tour. Have you enjoyed this cookbook as much as I have? I’m giving it a permanent home with my most-used cookbooks. Next week we’ll say an official good-bye, and I’ll introduce you to our summer cookbook. Ooh, you’re going to love it! I’m […] . . .

Teriyaki chicken is one of those dishes that my mom made regularly when I was growing up. And it was one dish that no one at the table complained about. Maybe that’s why she served it so often. Of course, in those days, you made it with a dish of chicken and half a bottle […] . . .

Of all the foods I miss eating due to food intolerances, lasagna is in my top three. I love sticking a fork into a really cheesy lasagna. I even like lasagna that’s not that good–the kind that comes in the freezer section at the grocery store and gets all watery when you bake it. I […] . . .

At first, I was misled by the name of this recipe. As I read through the instructions I thought to myself, “Oh! They’re scones!” And then I laughed at myself. Because the first time I read through a scone recipe years ago, I thought to myself, “Oh! They’re biscuits!” Whatever you call them and however […] . . .

Okay, so actually the name of this recipe in the book is just “Granola” but that sounded boring. And the recipe is so un-boring, and the end product so delicious, that I thought it deserved a fancier name. Seriously, this recipe is excellent. You may never go back to store-bought granola again. In our house, […] . . .

In all honesty, I chose this recipe because it was not at all fussy to prepare, and because it had a high yield (4 dinners!). I have lots of different chili recipes, and wasn’t entirely convinced that I needed another one. As it turns out, I did. I needed a super-basic chili recipe that doesn’t […] . . .

I know some of you are probably here for the giveaway I promised last week. Don’t worry, I’ll get to that. First, we have to talk about this chicken. I may not have been able to eat it, but I could smell it. And it was divine. I’m totally embarrassed to admit that I swallowed […] . . .

I confess that our family does love a good casserole, and this one was no exception. The kiddos the Sweetie Pie husband all agreed that it was delicious, and I’m thrilled to have two more in the freezer! It seems like a pretty predictable casserole recipe, but the cream sauce is homemade, not from a […] . . .

The Bean took one bite of this cookie and pronounced it the “best cookie he’d ever eaten”. As a six-year-old, he’s quite a cookie connoisseur and so I entirely trust his opinion. I like cookies with a little substance, so the oats and coconut and dried fruit are right up my alley. It makes me […] . . .
