Tofu or Tempeh Marinade

Serves

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp Raw apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tbsp Agave syrup or maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Sesame oil
  • 1 Tbsp ground ginger
  • 1/2 Tsp hot sauce
  • 1/4 Tsp black pepper
  • few drops hickory smoke sauce

Directions

Mix all ingredients together in a large glass container. Chop up tofu/tempeh into 1/2 inch blocks or in 6 large slabs (perfect for BBQ'ing).

Let marinate for at least 1 hr or for days in the fridge.

Choose to either pan fry or sprinkle with sesame seeds and bake at 400 for 40 minutes. Flip the tofu halfway through.

I love it. This is an awesome tool. (Plan to Eat) saved me at least an hour of planning meals, making the shopping list and inputting it into the previous app I was using. I love that I can plan my meals for the week then it pulls the shopping list for me. I really like that I can go to the staples list and add what I need from there to my shopping list. I also like that I can add my own specific needs to the staples list or my shopping list for the week.
