Merging Ingredients on the Shopping List

By default ingredients are automatically merged if they have the exact same (plural) ingredient name and grocery category. However if you have similar ingredients like "Cheddar Cheese", "Sharp Cheddar Cheese", "Grated Cheddar Cheese", and "Shredded Cheddar Cheese" and would like to merge them on your shopping list, click the 'pencil/paper' icon next to any of the ingredients and change the name and/or category to match the other item.

If you allow the changes to update any of the associated recipes, then this change will automatically apply the next time you add the associated recipes to your meal plan/shopping list.
