Flawlessly executed! This site is easy to use and flexible. Gathering recipes, making a plan, then shopping with my Android, it did everything I wanted, easily. (Well, I'd like to see dietary totals on the plan, but you'll get there ;))
I've looked at many and tried several meal-planning solutions and all disappointed but this one. The import feature particularly impressed me. It is rare that a system exceeds my expectations. I salute you as a cook and a software engineer of many-decades.
I'm curious what technologies you used. I'm pretty sure it's not Rails.

You can actually total some nutritional information on the planner. Is that what you had in mind for dietary totals?
I really appreciate the positive feedback as I am normally very hard on myself and have a very long todo list of fixes and features!

You implemented the site by yourself!? No way...
I got interested in computers at the age of 10 back in the days of punch
cards and paper tape. I had access to a college's computers because my dad
worked there. I've done a bit of everything, though I've avoided
Microsoft platforms. Before that, I avoided IBM machines, back when they
were the industry gorilla. (The big guys always stifle innovation)
