I would LOVE this!! As a stay at home mom, I usually plan for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and would love to see it separated out on the Meal Planner!!

Ditto to what Tammy E. says. Definitely would be helpful as this site is so wonderful with so much potential. I'm definitely using it for more than just one meal per day!

Currently I'm using PtE just for dinner meal planning but would definitely use for other meals if I had the option. Great suggestion!!

Another vote for this option, I would love to be able to plan my full days menus and have the kids be able to look at it and easily see what's for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack

I would also LOVE this ability!

Our family is more like the wild west when it comes to breakfast and lunch (you're on your own). So I would appreciate the ability to choose not use the different sections. I'm afraid that my planner, which is crazy simple right now, would end up being cluttered and complicated.

I am with the last commenter - this is a great idea, but I would love it if it was an option, and you could choose to turn it on or off!!
BTW - I am LOVING Plan to Eat!!

This is just the suggestion I was wanting to make. I have only used this program for a couple of days and am getting confused because I have to look and see if it is a breakfast or a dinner that day that I entered.

Is this something that can be done that I am missing?

This is at the top of my todo list! Thanks for all of the feedback! Stay tuned! :)

Any progress on this feature? When can we expect it? I too would love this. I just signed up and have been looking for a way to separate my meals into Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner. I go "live" with my first menu next week and would love to see it before then??? :)

I just launched the Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner feature for the monthly and weekly planner. I would say it is still in BETA so please check it out and let me know what you think!
Thanks,
Clint

I would like to be able to turn it off--especially for week days!

Could you PLEASE call the meals Breakfast, Lunch, and DINNER? I know it is a semantics "issue", but "supper" is really an evening lunch.
Support Staff 16 Posted by Clint on 30 Jul, 2010 02:40 PM
groneng,
You can toggle the feature by clicking the settings link at the top right of your planner.
The bottom line is that I want to stick with 'supper' because it allows me to order the meals correctly on other calendar software by using the text B,L and S in front of the meal titles in the iCal feed. Plus, some people use the word dinner for lunch and supper for dinner depending on culture and region. And since you mentioned semantics, Dictionary.com has supper = 'the evening meal, often the principal meal of the day.' and dinner = 'the main meal of the day, eaten in the evening or at midday.'
Thanks,
Clint

I'm glad I can turn this off since I am currently only planning suppers. However, it might be nice if we could choose to just turn off/on each meal (like, have Breakfast and Supper on, but Lunch turned off). Just a thought...
