ounces to pounds?

I've never had a recipe switch from ounces to pounds when I increase the servings. Is this new?

It's slightly obnoxious, as my recipe now calls for 3/4 lbs of tomato paste.

Recipe in question: http://www.plantoeat.com/recipes/106934

It's not a new feature, but I have changed the unit conversion to only
scale to pounds when there is more than 12 ounces. So with that said, are
you not wanting your units to scale at all?

Tough question. My first response is yes, I don't want it to scale. But I
can see how that would be a problem if you were doubling or tripling a
recipe. So, I think leave it as is. I'll just have to learn the imperial
    system.

Thanks for your understanding. I have also added to my todos to make the
    unit scaling an optional feature.

Alright, after using this more often, I have to say I don't like it.

The most recent recipe where it bugged me was a bread recipe. Instead of telling me 6-7 cups of flour, it told me 3 pints of flour. Maybe if there was a way to turn it off on dry ingredients? Or on anything over a cup?

I like it with tbsp, and tsp. But the cup thing bugs.

    Thanks for all you do!

I agree. I'm actually working on this right now (including improving the
shopping list as well) and I will remove anything above cups.

What do you think about converting from ounces to pounds? Worth it?

I'm not inclined as I don't know my ounces conversion very well ;) And
typically things like chicken broth say 24 ounces, not 2 lbs.
