Anybody here use/used e-mealz??
I've been using e-mealz for the last year or so and have just switched over. I'd like to swap e-mealz recipes!

I have used them in the past and just signed up again. I can use the bulk import process to add the menu for that given day. Instead of creating separate recipes for an entire meal, I load it all to one recipe. This makes it really easy to add "Spaghetti, French Bread, Italian salad" to the planner and I dont' have to think about what the side dishes will be.
I won't share e-mealz recipes or meal plans though..it's copyrighted and affordable. I don't want e-mealz OR plan to eat to go away anytime soon. :-)

Hi--
I'm using Plan to Eat's sample for the month and am considering signing on, but I'm curious about emealz too. When I looked at their site (didn't do the free trial-- probably should), I didn't see a clear way to plan my own meals rather than use the plans they put together.
Do you use their ideas more, or do you input your own plans onto your emealz plan? I don't necessarily eat the same kinds of food I saw on emealz (we're avoiding refined flour, sugar, processed food, etc) and it looks like Plan to Eat would accommodate that pretty well.
I'd be interested in your thoughts. Thanks!
Kathy

I use e-mealz plans for meal ideas, mostly. I create a recipe here on P2E (plan to eat) that contains the entire meal. I tag the meal as "emealz". Then, when I plan my week using P2E, I filter by my emealz tag and create my own weekly meal. Now, I have a customized shopping list based one what I really want to use for the week on my mobile device. This is much more flexible than printing out the hard copy of the shopping list from emealz.
I like getting the meal plan ideas from emealz and I like the flexibility and portability I get from P2E. So I feel like i'm getting the best of both worlds.

i've used e-mealz -- but there is no planning your own meals -- you get a week of recipes +shopping list. There is another site that lets you pick your recipes -- but i cant think of the name. Emealz didnt give me enough flexibility. The site that let me pick my recipes always seemed to have recipes with exotic/pricey ingredients. Thought i would try this site out

I did the WW plan on emealz a couple years ago, but we weren't impressed. A lot of the food was bland and not that great.
knto ... you might enjoy looking at TheFresh20.com :)

I did used e-mealz and loved the shopping list feature. I did not LOVE the recipes, however, and my husband has celiac (gluten free) and so I cancelled.

I used e-mealz and loved the concept but never was all that impressed by the recipes. Also, it has been a while, but I seem to remember they used a lot of boxed or canned stuff which I try to avoid (within reason).

I wasn't impressed at all with e-mealz. And my son, who will eat whatever I give him, didn't like anything from e-mealz. I stopped trying after a couple weeks.

I used E-Mealz for about a year. The recipes are hit and miss, sometimes really delicious, other times disappointing. We're trying this site to see if we like it better.
